Deutsche Bank renews its partnership with the Berliner Philharmoniker

Frankfurt am Main / Berlin - Deutsche Bank, the exclusive sponsor of the Berliner Philharmoniker since 2002, will be continuing its partnership with the orchestra and has extended its sponsorship agreement by another five years, until 2015.

In addition to the direct sponsorship of the premier orchestra, Deutsche Bank also made possible an unprecedented project in classical music launched at the beginning of 2009, one that allows the world to cross national and social boundaries and come closer together through music: the Digital Concert Hall. Concerts of the Berliner Philharmoniker can now be viewed in brilliant picture and high sound quality around the globe at any time via the Internet.

Furthermore, the award-winning educational program Zukunft@BPhil has been made possible by the bank since 2002. It introduces girls and boys from all parts of society with diverse cultural backgrounds to the world of classical music. They work on their own pieces and present them in public performances. Since the launch of this program, more than 16,000 children and young people have had the opportunity to discover their own individual talents, exceed personal limits and transcend cultural barriers.

As the exclusive private sponsor, Deutsche Bank will continue to support the Berliner Philharmoniker on their concert tours in Germany and abroad and present the premier concert in Berlin at the start of every concert season.
