Car-scrapyards ranks the dominating car manufacturers in terms of requests for car parts.

Everyday, the website Car-Scrapyards receives thousands of visitors who are looking for car parts, and put them in touch with a large network of car breakers.

Thanks to its database, the online parts finder has been able to release a ranking of the car manufacturers based on the total amount of car part requests made by the Internet users, since the launching of the website.

The statistics show that the European makes are clearly dominating, with 7 manufacturers making part of the top 10.

The database of the website also reveals the evolution of the amount of requests from 2009 to 2010. In fact, almost every make experienced a significant increase in the requests for car parts.

For example, Ford obtains the best results as the requests for Ford used car parts multiplied fourfold from 2009 to 2010. For Toyota, Nissan and Renault used car parts, the requests increased by more than 200% from April 2009 to April 2010.
