GUILDFORD, UK – Guests staying at the Park Hotel Weggis, a luxury 5 star superior hotel on the shores of Lake Lucerne in Switzerland, will be among the first in the world to experience the Avaya Guest Media Hub, an in-room communications device specifically built for the hospitality industry. Much more than a phone, the Guest Media Hub provides a unique experience for guests of Park Hotel Weggis by providing an intuitive way of interacting with the hotel, and offering easy access to key services and personalized content.

The Guest Media Hub has a sophisticated look and feel, including a colorful touch screen interface providing quick navigation and dynamic visuals. It enables guests to not only make phone calls, set alarms, get stock quotes and check the weather – but also discover many hotel-related amenities. Park Hotel Weggis guests can use the Guest Media Hub to browse menus and make reservations for the hotel’s highly–rated restaurants, view the hotel’s extensive 25,000 bottle wine list, and order room service – all from the comfort of their room. Information on hotel amenities including the spa, pool, golf course and local area attractions can be viewed on the Guest Media Hub in English, German, French, and Italian.

The Guest Media Hub can also be personalized to meet specific guest needs. For instance, hotels can utilize historical data from a guest’s prior visits to provide them with information of interest to them. This could include highlighting scheduled events, attractions or food and wine choices that match a guest’s personal preferences.

In addition to its unique capabilities, the high-tech look and feel of the Guest Media Hub will complement Park Hotel Weggis’ focus on offering the latest technologies in all of its hotel rooms.
