Audubon, PA – April 22, 2010 – DocZone by Really Strategies, Inc., the industry’s first award-winning software as a service (SaaS) XML content management system designed for publishers and technical publishers , now offers a new pricing model for publishers: “Pay Per Page.” Under this new SaaS licensing option, publishers receive full system capabilities for a group of editorial and production users, with access to all system features and only pay for final pages produced. DocZone’s out-of-the-box features and capabilities include authoring, editing, workflow, indexing, version control, check-in/check-out capabilities, and push-button publishing to PDF, HTML, and EPUB formats. The Rowman & Littlefield Publishing Group (RLPG) of Lanham MD became the pilot customer for this new model and adopted the DocZone system for RLPG’s book, ePub, and XML production requirements.

“We saw tremendous opportunities for cost savings and improved turnaround time with DocZone,” commented Stephen Driver, vice president of production services at RLPG. “In our pilot testing with DocZone, we saw the time for PDF proofs drop from a week to just a few minutes. With the same amount of money as we have traditionally budgeted just for offshore composition services, we now have a complete content management and automated publishing environment. We will also be offering this new service to our clients at National Book Network (NBN) through its NBN Fusion program.”

“We are very excited about this new business model and to have RLPG as a customer for ’pay per page’,” added Dan Dube, a co-founder of DocZone and senior vice president of sales and marketing at Really Strategies, Inc. “With the per-page-value-based pricing, the benefits of a sophisticated end-to-end publishing system can now be cost-effectively implemented throughout a publishing organization on an unlimited basis.”
