Unisys to host and integrate its Logistics Management System for the growing airline under five-year agreement

BLUE BELL, Pa., March 23, 2006 – Unisys Corporation (NYSE: UIS) today announced that Air China has chosen the Unisys Logistics Management System (LMS) to manage its air cargo operations. Under a five-year agreement, Unisys will also be providing hosting and integration services and will be working closely with Air China on the customization of services for the Chinese domestic marketplace, as well as the implementation and cut-over expected in March 2007.

Air China chose Unisys Logistics solutions and services to further secure its air cargo business operations for a number of reasons. First, Unisys LMS is Web-based, which will allow Air China to more quickly react to changing market needs on a global scale. Second, the system will make it easier for Air China to integrate process control tools such as bar code scanners, warehouse automation tools, and RFID technology in the future. And finally, by using Unisys hosting services, Air China expects to realize lower IT costs and increased return on investment.

Air China moves approximately 700,000 tons of cargo per year to more than 20 countries and regions.

“We look forward to working with Unisys on this important implementation, as it is critical that we further streamline our air cargo operations,” said Mr. Xiao Ping, vice president, Air China Cargo. “As we continue to grow our air cargo business, this new Unisys system will grow with us.”

Unisys LMS is an end-to-end solution that integrates several key facets of freight processing for carriers, ground-handlers and freight forwarders. These include door-to-door support for time definite products, space management for flight inventories, and automated cargo-IMP processing. It features Web browser-based functionality, extensive help features, and comprehensive security measures to maintain confidentiality of sensitive data.

“Unisys is very pleased to have been selected by the largest air carrier in the fastest- growing region of the world,” said Christopher Shawdon, vice president, Logistics Solutions for Unisys. “As Air China’s business continues to grow, we look forward to a close collaboration in further strengthening their key position in the global supply chain.”
