TestAmerica Announces an Expansion of Its Sediment Testing Services

TestAmerica is pleased to announce that Mr. Richard Sheets has joined the organization at their Pittsburgh, PA laboratory, bringing with him over 30 years of sediment geotechnical testing experience.

Mr. Sheets will initially be focused on providing a technology transfer of a wide variety of sediment geotechnical testing to TestAmerica’s current robust offerings. These technologies including expanded sediment geotechnical support, elutriate, leachate and contaminant mobility capabilities. Many of these tests are based upon testing protocols in the USACE Upland Testing Manual. Mr. Sheets will also provide leadership for TestAmerica’s advanced leachate testing in support of industrial cleanup standards.

Mr. Sheets has more than 30 years of sediment geotechnical experience, including Laboratory Manager for Hart Crowser & Associates and was the Co-founder of Soil Technology in Bainbridge Island, Washington. Mr. Sheets has significant expertise in geotechnical and characterization projects, remediation and treatability studies and contaminant transport properties.
