Qualcomm Announces Leadership Change and Promotion

SAN DIEGO - Qualcomm Incorporated (Nasdaq: QCOM), a leading developer and innovator of advanced wireless technologies, products and services, today announced that Xiang Wang, vice president of Qualcomm CDMA Technologies, has been promoted to senior vice president of Qualcomm and president of Qualcomm Greater China. Frank Meng, senior vice president of Qualcomm and president of Qualcomm Greater China, is leaving Qualcomm to pursue other opportunities.

Xiang Wang has more than 20 years of experience in the semiconductor and communications fields. Prior to joining Qualcomm, he held key positions in sales and marketing of world leading companies, including Motorola and Lucent/Agere. Wang earned his BSEE from Beijing Polytechnic University. In his new role, Wang will continue to manage Qualcomm’s CDMA Technologies division in China.
