Seminar Honoring Earth Day: "Protecting Environmental and Nuclear Whistleblowers"

Washington D.C. April 8, 2010. Honoring Earth Day, the National Whistleblowers Center is hosting a seminar, “How To Protect Environmental & Nuclear Whistleblowers.” This event will take place on Wednesday, April 21, from 12:00 pm EST until 2:00 pm EST, at the National Whistleblowers Center located in Washington, DC or via telephone conference.

“Whistleblowers have been critial to protecting the public from hazardous pollutants. Congress recognized the importance of environmental whistleblowers by enacting the first federal whistleblower protection laws protecting and encouraging workers who expose environmental violations,” said Michael D. Kohn, President of the National Whistleblowers Center.

Esteemed faculty for this seminar will include leading EPA Whistleblower William Sanjour, Senior Counsel for Public Employees for Environmental Responsibility Paula Dinerstein, and Legal Director to the National Whistleblowers Center Richard Renner. Michael D. Kohn, President of the National Whistleblowers Center who has litigated on behalf of environmental and nuclear whistleblowers since 1985, will moderate the panel.
