Major Art Exhibition By Rosemary Abrahams

From Saturday 27th March to the 16th May 2010 Rosemary Abraham’s latest collection of paintings will be on display in the grand surroundings of Sewerby Hall, Bridlington, East Yorkshire, UK. There will be around 100 paintings included in the exhibition including abstract paintings, seascapes, landscapes and flower paintings.

There will be a grand opening at 2.15pm Saturday 27th March. The exhibition will be officially opened by Councillor David Rudd Vice-Chairman of East Riding Yorkshire Council. The paintings will be on display in the West Wing Gallery which will be open daily between 10am-5pm and the exhibition will run until the 16th May. There will also be ‘Textile Interpretations’ of the paintings made by Janet Bevan, a longstanding friend.

The famous artist Peter M. Hicks said this about Rosemary.
“Rosemary is one of those rare individuals who have made a good living from her artistic practise. The range of her more recent paintings, which she shows in galleries in Britain, includes landscapes, seascapes, what she refers to as her ‘florals’ which are rich in colour and full of vitality and then her amazing array of abstracts, which I believe are amongst her most personal work. A branch of her family was originally from Russia where in their art they used metallic colour, particularly gold in their famous Icon’s. Rosemary too makes many images that seem to re-invoke the symbol of the Icon.”

To coincide with this exhibition, Rosemary Abrahams website has been re-launched at After the exhibition has concluded at the end of May the paintings and stylish box prints will be available for sale on the website.
