Bids Soar for Rare Barbie Selling on eBay
WhatSellsBest.com, a website tracking rare items selling on eBay, is reporting bidding has passed $11,000 on day three of a seven day auction for a Rare Barbie listed to sell on eBay.
According to the sellers listing, the 1959 Brunette Barbie is a rare hand-painted prototype, with numerous extras indicating it’s one of the first versions of the brunette doll.
According to James Massey, publisher of WhatSellsBest.com; “Last year a mint Blonde (1959) Barbie sold for $14,600, due to this ones apparent rarity (as a prototype) it may go higher.” (Auction ends March 28)
