Main sponsor Vodafone presents top act Sasha at the Düsseldorf Jazz Rally 2006
Düsseldorf, 22 March 2006. Vodafone’s decision to be the main sponsor of the Düsseldorf Jazz Rally for the second year in a row is a clear demonstration of its long-term commitment to the city and its cultural scene. One again, the Düsseldorf-based mobile communications provider is presenting the music festival’s top act. This year, Sasha and his band are one of the highlights of the 14th Jazz Rally. Sasha, whose hit ’Slowly’ is currently climbing up the charts, will be performing live for visitors and fans at the LTU hangar on Friday 2 June at 9.30 pm.
This is the second time in succession that Vodafone has signed up a popular musician to boost the appeal of the Jazz Rally, a music event that is already famous far beyond the region’s borders. “We are delighted to be supporting the Düsseldorf Jazz Rally as main sponsor again this year. Last year was such a major success that we decided to sponsor the top concert again in 2006,” said Friedrich Joussen, CEO of Vodafone.
After a musical adventure as Dick Brave & the Backbeats, Sasha will be playing songs from his new CD ’Open Water’ at the Jazz Rally in Düsseldorf. Concert tickets cost EUR 15 (including tax and advance sales charges) and they will be available at ticket shops from 23 March onwards.
Vodafone will be delivering the highlights of the festival, including Sasha’s current songs, as attractive mobile content for all those who aren’t able to attend the Jazz Rally or who can’t get enough of it. “Music and multimedia are an excellent combination for a mobile communications provider.
