London – Thomson Reuters announced today that Chi-X Europe has implemented its pan-European low latency direct feed, pricing and reference data service, offered through the firm’s strategic hosting centres in London.

With increasing level of fragmentation, competition and growing dependence on automated trading strategies in today’s markets, it is vital to base trading decisions on high quality and independent pricing information. Thomson Reuters low latency direct feeds are now available to customers who wish to co-locate their trading applications within fully managed hosting facilities or last mile comms to a customer’s own data centres. Each hosting site is strategically placed in close proximity to key trading venues and globally available in Chicago, New York, London, Frankfurt, Singapore and Tokyo.

Customers are offered a choice of low latency telecommunications providers for last mile connectivity as well as simplified access to a broad portfolio of additional value added services including market and broker connectivity, pricing and reference data, quant and event driven trading solutions and fully managed services.

Scott Kennedy, Global Business Manager, Direct Feeds, Thomson Reuters, stated: “We are delighted to have Chi-x Europe as a strategic partner and moved quickly to support their requirements to provide clients a simplified approach to connectivity, improved time to market and an open platform which will power their trading solutions. This decision allows Chi-X Europe to focus on their core business while relying on Thomson Reuters to provide their clients high performance content to support their trading activities.”

Florian Miciu, Chief Technology Officer, Chi-X Europe, stated: “Having the broadest access to the market is critical to the participants of Chi-X Europe. Thomson Reuters was able to quickly implement the hosting solution, which provides the breadth and performance to clients in addition to delivering cost savings.
