Pierre Goad appointed Global Head of Corporate Communications

Zurich - Zurich Financial Services Group (Zurich) announced today the appointment of Pierre Goad (48, Canadian and British citizen) as its Global Head of Corporate Communications, effective from May 1, 2010. Reporting to Martin Senn, the Group CEO, Mr. Goad will be responsible for the communications function at Zurich’s Corporate Center and across the Group.

Mr. Goad joins Zurich from HSBC where he currently serves as Head of Corporate Development for the bank’s investment banking and asset management divisions with responsibility for all strategy and communications functions. He has extensive international experience, having held a series of communications and strategy roles at HSBC in Hong Kong and London.

Pierre Goad will be succeeding Francis Bouchard, who is formally assuming a new role as General Insurance Head of Proposition Development on May 1, 2010.
