WEBWIRE

The Snausages Man Sled Race is a fun, light-hearted event that highlighted the unique bond and fun friendship shared between dogs and their pet parents. The first of its kind, the Snausages Man Sled Race put dogs in the musher’s seat and humans in front of the sled in a race to the finish line. The race was held at Little Campbell Lake in Anchorage, Alaska and began at 9:00 am ASK (local time). Four teams of four humans and one dog raced across 75 yards, of snow covered ground to be the first to cross the finish line. The winning team was presented with a monetary donation to a local pet-related charity or organization of their choice. The second, third and fourth place teams were also granted a surprise donation to a pet-related charity of their choice.

The first place donation is a check for the amount of $5,000. The second, third and fourth place donations are each worth $1,000. The following charities received donations on behalf of the Snausages Man Sled Race teams – Second Change League, Friends of Pets, Alaska SPCA and Alaska Dog & Puppy Rescue.

Snausages®, a popular dog snack, is part of the Del Monte pet product line.
