UK based medical image training company Online MRI Ltd increases its library of modules for radiologists and radiographers

Following end user trials and a limited commercial roll out in 2009, UK based digital training company “Online MRI Limited” has launched web based sales of its most popular training aids.

Contracts have been signed with Phillips in the US and two other contracts are being discussed with a Tier 1 OEM and reagent supplier.

“It is a very exciting phase for the company now,” says John Swiffin, head of product development, "We have worked closely with Professor Turnbull and Dr Garry Liney for a number of years and we feel we have perfected the right balance of visual aids to the written word.”

Mr Swiffin goes on to say: "One of the problems with Dicom images is their number and the amount of embedded data, we had to create our own platform which would ease the transfer of data and allow for multi-platform viewing.”

The first five training modules are available for sale on the company’s website and with a pipeline of another ten important training modules. The company is now the leader in offering high level training aids.

The modules have gained recognition from both the Royal College of Radiologists and the Society of Radiographers and will continue to work with them to continue to produce the highest standards of training aids.
