NOVA Chemicals announces commercial availability of ULTRA LOW® EPS resin for construction applications


Pittsburgh, PA - NOVA Chemicals Corporation (NYSE, TSX: NCX) today announced the commercial availability of the company’s first ULTRA LOW® pentane expandable polystyrene (EPS) product. With average pentane levels of 3.75% by weight, ULTRA LOW M77BLV offers emissions-constrained molders the ability to meet or exceed ASTM construction and geofoam industry standards for molding density and physical performance.

Potential applications for ULTRA LOW M77BLV include geofoam, roofing, insulation and structural insulated panels (SIPs). Demand for high-performing ULTRA LOW resins is anticipated to grow as converters work with evolving emissions standards.
