Kodak’s Health Group Announces Worldwide Price Increases On All Medical Imaging Films and Related Supplies
Double-digit increases result from severe escalation in raw material, energy costs
Rochester, N.Y., March 17 -- Eastman Kodak Company’s Health Group today announced immediate price increases worldwide on all its medical imaging films and related supplies.
The price increases are in double digits, but vary depending on markets around the world.
Kodak cited a severe escalation in raw material and energy costs as primary reasons for the increases.
“Staggering silver and petroleum costs began impacting our production expenses early last year,” explained Kevin Hobert, President of Kodak’s Health Group. “Since then, we’ve been absorbing these cost increases and isolating our customers from the impact of commodity expenses. But we can no longer do so: The unrelenting rise in costs has led us to the necessary step of having to significantly increase our prices to maintain the viability of our business.”
Details surrounding the new prices will be communicated locally in each country. In the interim, customers who have questions can contact their local sales representative. Kodak is a trademark 2006
