SAP NEWSBYTE - For the sixth year in a row, SAP AG (NYSE: SAP) has been named to the Corporate Knights Global 100 Most Sustainable Corporations list. Corporate Knights released the annual list on January 27, 2010, at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.

Companies included in the Global 100 are selected based on an analysis of 3,000 publicly traded companies. The Global 100 selection board evaluates companies on ten key sustainability performance indicators, including sustainability leadership; innovation capacity; transparency; and carbon, energy, water and waste productivity.

In addition to SAP’s inclusion in the Global 100 list every year since its inception in 2005, SAP has previously been recognized for its sustainable business practices by the FTSE4Good index and the Dow Jones Sustainability Indexes, where it leads the software sector. SAP has also been named to the Global Challenges Index, which recognizes sustainability performance, and the NASDAQ OMX CRD Global Sustainability 50 Index.

In 2009, SAP announced an increased strategic focus on sustainability, which includes both managing internal operations in a sustainable way and delivering solutions that support customers’ sustainable business practices.

Together with its partners, SAP offers a comprehensive portfolio of sustainability solutions, including the SAP® Carbon Impact on-demand solution, SAP BusinessObjects™ Sustainability Performance Management application, the SAP Environment, Health, and Safety Management application and SAP Best Practices packages for sustainability.
