National Air Traffic Service Announces New Prestwick Control Tower

Glasgow, Scotland, UK – January 15, 2010 – The new Prestwick Control Tower, once completed, is reported to be worth 180 million pounds. The building is a purpose built centre which will house both engineers and support staff initially from Manchester.

The air traffic control centre is reported to be able to handle up to 42 % of all inbound flights landing in the UK. Their remit will cover around 800 miles of air space.
