Riyadh, Deutsche Bank announced today the launch of its Saudi Talent Pool Initiative, aimed at attracting highly qualified Saudi nationals through a two year training program at the Bank.

Fresh graduates of finance, information technology and business administration with outstanding performance will be offered a paid traineeship that will allow them to receive comprehensive hands-on experience within Deutsche Bank’s various business lines, and in the Bank’s global headquarters.

Jamal Alkishi, Deutsche Bank’s Chief Country Officer in Saudi Arabia, said “This initiative comes to reaffirm Deutsche Bank’s commitment to Saudi Arabia, and is a manifestation of our goal to contribute towards the shaping of the financial sector. This Initiative will offer the local talent the opportunity to gain an invaluable experience and the skills necessary to excel in an ever-evolving market place and subsequently enrich the banking sector in the Kingdom.”

Deutsche Bank in Saudi Arabia offers a full range of investment banking and private wealth management services. Candidates who successfully complete the traineeship will be offered the opportunity to join Deutsche Bank.

Javeed Ameen, Deutsche Bank’s Chief Operating Officer in Saudi Arabia, said “Our business lines have put in place a comprehensive training program that will involve elementary training and in later stages a more advanced hands-on experience. The successful candidates’ performance during the traineeship will be periodically reviewed. The traineeship also involves a rotation in the headquarters of the various business lines, in Dubai, London and Frankfurt, to allow the candidates to receive exposure to the international financial and banking sector as well.”

The Saudi Talent Initiative is the second country-focused recruitment drive implemented by Deutsche Bank. A similar initiative has been implemented in South Africa.

Martyn Bagnall, Deutsche Bank’s Head of Human Resources in the Middle East and North Africa region, said “We are very pleased to have the opportunity to roll out this important initiative in Saudi Arabia. We are looking for people who not only have an excellent academic profile, but who exhibit confidence, have an analytical mind and are able to make good judgments, to join our diversified teams of 78 thousand people across the world.”

Deutsche Bank will be taking part in the King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals careers fair, to be held in Dharhan from the 18-20 of January. Interested candidates are welcome to visit Deutsche Bank’s stand at the fair, or send their resumes directly to: hr.mena@db.com
