PLYmedia Offers Live Online Video Captioning of The Crunchies 2009 Awards

Online video solutions provider adds professional subtitles to livestream of the “Oscars for technology”

(SAN FRANCISCO, Calif.) – January 8, 2010 - Leading enhanced video solutions provider, PLYmedia (www.plymedia.com), today announced that they will be offering their video captioning service during livestreaming coverage of The Crunchies Awards, airing this evening.

The Crunchies Awards is the third annual competition and awards ceremony hosted by TechCrunch, GigaOM and Venturebeat, where startups big and small are recognized for their innovations on the Internet and in technology. The event will be streamed live online by one of PLYmedia’s broadcast and online platform partners, Ustream. PLYmedia’s live video captioning product (an offering from their SubPLY services) will offer real-time translation of the awards show in multiple languages.
