John P. White Joins Wachovia Securities’ Investment Banking Division

March 14, 2006, CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Wachovia Securities announced today that John White has joined the firm as managing director and head of Wachovia Securities’ Media and Communications Group. He will report to Jeff Armstrong, head of Corporate Finance.

White joins Wachovia Securities from JP Morgan Chase, where he was managing director and head of the Media and Telecommunications Group. In that role, which he assumed in 2001, White managed a team of 25 bankers in New York, San Francisco and Dallas and grew the practice into the fourth-largest investment banking group at JP Morgan Chase. From 1996 to 2000, he was based in London and served as managing director and head of JP Morgan Chase’s Europe, Africa and Middle East Media and Telecom Group. White joined his predecessor firm in 1994, after working at CIBC and the Bank of New England.
