LA Sports4Kids’ LA Vigorboards can Boost Kids’ Fitness this Christmas

As the debate on obesity rages worldwide, particularly in relation to children’s fitness and exercise, the British Heart Foundation has released a report (Couch Kids: the nation’s future) which suggests that "Parents are stuck in a worrying ‘reality gap’ when it comes to their children’s fitness levels.”

The charity warns that “Mums and dads need to take off the blinkers about how active kids need to be in order to keep their hearts healthy.”

The BHF’s study stresses the fact that parents need to work harder in order to ensure their children enjoy exercise; if children are not interested in traditional sports, suppliers of alternative sports products like the LA Vigorboard may have the answer.

Breaking away from traditional sports, UK firm LASports4Kids has introduced the LA Vigorboard for kids. Similar to a skateboard, the LA Vigorboard has already been introduced into local schools around Manchester and Liverpool, and the kids are having a great time using this alternative fitness product.

Glyn Adams, Managing Director of LASports4Kids explains, “Many kids are turned off to exercise because they don’t enjoy traditional sports at school. The LA Vigorboard is perfect for children who either don’t enjoy team sports, or maybe find sports a challenge.”

"As the number of overweight children in Britain continues to climb, it is important to give kids more options – especially options that make exercise exciting, easy and cool.”

“The Vigorboard makes a great, low-cost Christmas gift; not only does it promote fitness and help with balance, it also has the potential to improve confidence in sport. We also find that kids love the idea of anything that makes them look like a skateboarder!”

“Christmas 2009 could prove to be an excellent opportunity to make sports fun for your children.”

LA Sports4Kids offers a range of LA Vigorboards, Vigor Skis, Vigor Risers and other alternative fitness products that could be the perfect way to get children out and about this Christmas as opposed to sitting at home playing on a games console.
