Air Products Receives “Supplier Excellence Award” from TSMC

LEHIGH VALLEY, Pa. Air Products (NYSE:APD) announced today that it has been awarded the “Supplier Excellence Award” by Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company Limited (TSMC), the largest semiconductor foundry in the world. The award recognizes Air Products’ excellent performance in the areas of gases and chemicals.

The Supplier of the Year Award, which has eight distinct categories, surveys and ranks more than 300 suppliers in the areas of quality, cost, delivery, service, technology, and safetyprovided to TSMC. The 2009 award marks the fifth time in the last eight years that Air Products has won, and it is the first time the company has been recognized in both the gases and chemicals categories in the same year.

The award was presented during TSMC’s 2009Supply Chain Management Forum held on December 4, 2009, attended by more than 350 representatives from the world’s leading suppliers in the semiconductor manufacturing industry.
