“North American Wilderness” Project by Jacquie Vaux Now Nearing Completion

Denver, Colorado (November 25, 2009) – “North American Wilderness” is the title of the current suite of paintings now being completed by Jacquie Vaux, a renowned wildlife artist. This project which represents almost two years of continuous work, and will be released within the next few months, having been commissioned by Vail-Promenade Gallery in Vail, Colo.

“I’m especially proud of this latest project, since wildlife is my passion” says Jacquie Vaux, wildlife and landscape artist. “I’m really excited about these unusually large watercolor wildlife paintings, since they bring the viewer close to the animals, the habitat and the beauty in nature.”

Twelve wildlife art paintings are included in this suite, including a large canvas (66” x 66”) done in acrylics entitled “A Doe and Two Fawns at the Pond”. Additionally, the collection showcases extra-large watercolor wildlife paintings that were constructed on special panels, which had to be built on-site by Jacquie and her husband. The finished pieces in the project include:
• “Raccoons in Summer Aspen” measures 30x105”
• “Wood Ducks Leaving the Nest” is 68”x30”
• “Robins in the Nest,” “Ground Squirrels Having Fun,” “Chickadees Socializing,” and “A Grey Squirrel in his Tree,” all of which measure 20”x20”

Currently in process or soon will be created include the titles as “Red Fox Family,” “Mute Swans in a Pond,” “Elk in the Meadow,” “Bear Family at the Pond,” and “Marmots’ at Playtime.” Jacquie Vaux’s art fans nationwide have been anticipating these wildlife art paintings for some time since her work is known for capturing photo-realistic images of big cats, African animal paintings, lion prints, and a variety of other popular wildlife art prints.
