The online shop on Deutsche Telekom AG’s t-online.de portal received the overall evaluation “good” in a test by Stiftung Warentest, the German consumer testing organization, making it the winner in the “shopping” category. The shop is recommended as an attractively priced, secure alternative to local electronics retailers. The evaluation “good” was awarded to only three online shops.

Security and service the decisive factors
Stiftung Warentest is convinced: Ordering online is worth it. But digital Christmas shopping wasn’t a pleasure everywhere. Stiftung Warentest tested the 10 most attractively priced online shops with various criteria such as order processing, convenience, handling of user data and offer features like delivery times and payment options.
The t-online.de shop and two others - computeruniverse and Cyberport - were classed as “good” and online giant Amazon came in among the also-rans.

t-online.de was crowned overall winner in the “shopping” category with its excellent order processing, the uncomplicated process for returning goods, its customer orientation, convenience and faultless terms and conditions. “Shopping on the Internet must not be risky. Security, service and convenience are clearly the guiding lights of our online offering. Our aim is to give consumers reliable support and assistance with their everyday activities on the Internet. I am therefore very happy that we have achieved this with the t-online.de shop,” said Ralf Baumann, Senior Vice President for the t-online.de portal. The t-online.de shop will continue to take consumer preferences on board - soon, for example, customers will have an additional payment option of paying by invoice. The range of goods is also growing with the customer base. Innovative gift ideas, designer products and high-end label shops such as Bugatti and Bogner all invite users to do their Christmas shopping online.

The e-commerce portal is the shop run by t-online.de, Deutsche Telekom AG’s Internet portal. In addition to hardware from the consumer electronics, computer, multimedia and telecommunications segments, the shop also offers a wide-ranging product portfolio covering segments such as Household, Lifestyle, Sport, Comfort and Energy Saving. The sales platform set up in 2002 offers customers over 17,000 items from leading brand manufacturers at attractive prices. Visitors to t-online.de Shop can also look forward to new unbeatable offerings and a host of compelling categories every day.
