New Book Reveals Secret Recipes for the Famous Food America Craves
Las Vegas, Nevada, November 23, 2009 -- Just in time for the holidays, Todd Wilbur has figured out how to duplicate the taste of America’s favorite snack foods and restaurant dishes in his latest recipe clone collection, ’Top Secret Recipes Unlocked’ (A Plume Original / December 2009 / ISBN 978-0-452-29579-7 / $15.00). The book features 115 home-brewed replicas of famous foods from KFC, Subway, Popeyes, Mrs. Fields, Boston Market, Taco Bell, Burger King, and many other popular restaurant chains.
Author, Todd Wilbur uses a process of culinary reverse-engineering that he has developed over the last 22 years to create his original formulas. Each recipe requires ordinary supermarket ingredients, and Wilbur says that anyone can make “clones” of store-bought dishes for “a fraction of the cost of the real thing.”
In the introduction of the book Wilbur writes, ”In the laboratory (my kitchen) each of these recipes was subjected to a battering array of bakings and mixings, batch after batch, until the closest representation of the actual commercial product was finally achieved. I did not swipe, heist, bribe or otherwise obtain any formulas through coercion or illegal means.”
In ’Top Secret Recipes Unlocked’, Wilbur reveals secret techniques, ingredients and blueprints for replicating such famous foods as:
Kripsy Kreme Original Glazed Doughnuts
Stouffer’s Macaroni and Cheese
Burger King Onion Rings
Starbucks Cranberry Bliss Bar
Taco Bell Chicken Quesadilla
Boston Market Sweet Potato Casserole
Chipotle Mexican Grill Barbacoa Burrito
Kozy Shack Rice Pudding
Todd eats his way though several samples of some of the most popular recipes from his book in a new YouTube video at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=28TmvK1hv9o or on Wilbur’s YouTube channel at: http://www.youtube.com/user/todderman.
Todd Wilbur is the original Clone Recipe King and was the first published author to crack many well-protected secret recipes from KFC to Coca-Cola. Wilbur has been cloning recipes since the 1980’s, he founded the first copycat recipe website on the Internet (http://www.topsecretrecipes.com), and has sold over 4.3 million of his Top Secret Recipes® cookbooks. He is the top-selling cookbook author on QVC, and has appeared on several national TV shows including The Oprah Winfrey Show, Good Morning America, Today, Live with Regis and Kathie Lee, and Fox News. He lives in Las Vegas with his family.
