Vistamatic, an international designer and manufacturer of observation window systems, has partnered with Doctors Community Hospital, Maryland, supplying over 100 custom, oversized and standard vision panels for a new six-story patient bed tower, as they grow to meet the healthcare needs of the region.

Currently under construction and due to open toward the end of the year, the eagerly awaited addition to this busy hospital which has been serving the community for over 30 years, includes 90 new private patient rooms and the conversion of all existing semi-private rooms to private, resulting in Doctors Community Hospital being an all private room facility.

Renowned for simplicity, durability and refined aesthetics, Vistamatic vision panels consist of three sheets of glass set within an insulated unit, which are operated using Vistamatic’s propriety lever mechanism. When the lever is turned, the inner sheet of glass rise to enable observation and, by turning the handle back, vision is obscured. All panels are fire rated with UL10B and C 45 & 20 minute rating.

Vistamatic CEO, Kevin Roth, said: “Since Vistamatic launched in the US four years ago, we have grown at a rapid pace. Thanks to support from renowned and well established hospitals, like Doctors Community that recognize the quality and versatility of our products, we are now supplying our state of the art vision panels across the US.”
