InterContinental.com Comes Top of the Hotel/Resort Category for the 2009 Interactive Media Awards
InterContinental Hotels & Resorts’ website, www.intercontinental.com, has been awarded the highest honour by the 2009 Interactive Media Awards, winning the Best in Class Award for the Hotel/Resort category. With an overall score of 480 out of a maximum possible score of 500, InterContinental.com beat off competition from 113 other hotel and resort entries from around the world, to achieve high marks in each of the judging criteria.
The judges considered design, content, feature functionality, usability and standard compliance and cross-browser compatibility to determine which websites within the category deserved top marks. Only a fraction of sites within the Interactive Media Awards achieve such high scores each year, with the content on InterContinental.com gaining full marks (100/100). Not far behind was design achieving 99 out of 100, feature functionality being awarded 98 out of 100 and usability getting 97 out of 100.
