VOXmobile in Luxemburg becomes Orange

Today, Mobistar announces that the brand of its subsidiary in Luxemburg, VOXmobile, will change and become Orange on October 28, 2009. There will be no change to the Mobistar brand in Belgium.

The Board of Directors of VOXmobile have decided to change the brand, which will be effective on October 28, 2009 when they will become Orange. The rebranding will have no influence on the shareholders’ structure of VOXmobile. The company will remain a fully-owned company of Mobistar sa.

This announcement is made simultaneously with the start of a communication campaign in Luxembourg to explain that Voxmobile will become Orange on October 28, 2009. The impact and implementation of this change will be explained during a press conference on the 27th of October in Luxembourg.

Today, VOXmobile is the third operator in Luxemburg with a strong image in terms of innovation and dynamism and price/quality ratio. The introduction of Orange in the Luxemburg market, will enable the company to capitalize on the additional benefits of an international brand and create added value for its customers and shareholders. Despite the international dimension of Orange, the company will continue to focus on the local market.

For Mobistar, the rebranding in Luxemburg will have no impact on the Belgian telecommunication market. Mobistar is a very strong brand. It remains the decision of the Mobistar shareholders whether or not to change the brand name in Belgium. At present, this decision is not on the agenda.
