CSC Wins $29 Million Contract From Department of Education to Operate Education Resources Information Center

FALLS CHURCH, Va.- CSC (NYSE: CSC) announced today that the U.S. Department of Education (DoE) awarded the company a contract that supports the agency’s Education Resources Information Center (ERIC). The new agreement has a one-year base period and four one-year options, bringing the estimated total five-year contract value to $29 million. This contract was awarded to CSC during the company’s fiscal 2010 second quarter.

Under the terms of the agreement, CSC will operate the ERIC online digital library. ERIC provides a comprehensive, easy-to-use, searchable, Internet-based bibliographic and full-text database of education research and information for educators, researchers, post-secondary faculty and students, parents and the general public.
