(NASDAQ: CA) today announced that Moen Inc., one of the world’s largest manufacturers of plumbing products, is using CA Workload Automation, a pillar of CA’s Business-Driven Automation Solution, to centralize processing across its wide-ranging distributed environment. The distributed-hosted enterprise workload automation solution is helping Moen achieve Lean IT by increasing business agility, service quality, and control, as well as reducing risk, minimizing costs, and improving IT efficiency.

Moen’s business goal was to create automated, distributed workload processing across the enterprise from a single point of control, while integrating with all SAP ERP applications. The initial installation of CA Workload Automation took only 10 minutes to complete and addressed all of Moen’s business objectives. It then went beyond those requirements and covered Moen’s automation wish-list as well.

CA Workload Automation’s event-driven functionality has helped Moen create a more efficient IT infrastructure by delivering seamless reporting and monitoring of workload processes across platforms, operating systems and applications. The solution integrated seamlessly with all of Moen’s applications throughout the enterprise, including SAP NetWeaver. With CA Workload Automation’s advanced SAP automation and its comprehensive usability features, the CA solution created an even more dynamic and responsive workload automation environment than Moen thought possible.

Using CA’s certified ESP Business Agent for SAP solutions, CA Workload Automation interfaces seamlessly with SAP’s built-in CCMS scheduler to ensure that all scheduling activities for both SAP and non-SAP jobs are automated throughout the enterprise. As a 100% SAP shop, this was a vital consideration for Moen and the end result is increased productivity and time-savings.
