Anime Weekend Atlanta (R) Releases Attendence Count for 2009, Announces Dates for 2010 Convention

ATLANTA, GA - Anime Weekend Atlanta concluded its 15th annual convention September 18-20, 2009 by having 11,717 paid attendees attend AWA, an increase of 6% over the previous year. This number does not include guests, dealers, staff or complimentary memberships.

“AWA faced a challenge with JapanFest, several local sporting events, and the severe weather in the Atlanta area that weekend. We are very pleased more people attended AWA this year!” said Lloyd Carter, Chairperson, AWA.

This year, AWA introduced a larger Artists Alley and Art Show and expanded the Maid Cafe for two days.

The 16th annual Anime Weekend Atlanta will be held September 17-19, 2010 at the Renaissance Waverly Hotel and the Cobb Galleria Centre in Atlanta, Georgia. Pre-Registration is available on our website, www.awa-con.com.
