Women Take Center Stage at Upcoming Social Media Forum

WEBWIRE

Some of the top female social media experts will take center stage on Saturday, October 17 at the first-ever, first-annual All Women’s Social Media Summit in North Carolina.

The five-member panel will discuss and answer questions on how to leverage social media as a valuable tool in starting and growing a business.

The Event is being hosted by Boomer Diva Nation, LLC. BDN President Beverly Mahone says the forum is the result of a survey conducted by the group. “We went to our connections on Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn to find out what questions women have as it relates to business and social networking. What we discovered is women network differently than men and want to know how to improve upon their online networking skills.”

Panelists for the all-day summit are:

Deidre Hughey is a N.C.Speaker, Trainer and Writer who works with speakers and authors to drive targeted traffic to their websites using online marketing strategies.

Olalah Njenga is a N.C. marketing strategist who specializes in helping growing and midsize companies focus on profitable, long range marketing initiatives.

HeatherO, also from NC, is a speaker and consultant who is passionate about helping others be the CEO of their own life, create their own story and achieve Purpose Powered Prosperity through value-focused and authentic social connection.

Kimberly Green is Executive Producer of NBC-17 News in Raleigh. She will discuss how the media uses social media to generate story ideas and guests for interviews.

Laurie Foley of Georgia is an online presence coach who helps entrepreneurs and other organizations be strategic, effective and authentic through social networking, blogging and branding.

As an added bonus, Mahone says there will also be a men’s social media panel to discuss what women need to know about how men make business connections online.

The day-long forum will be held at the Capital City Club on Fayetteville Street Mall in Raleigh. For more details and to register, go to: www.socialmediasummit2009.com.

The All Women’s Social Media Summit is a part of the Second Annual Boomer Diva Nation Conference being held at the Raleigh Marriott and Convention Center October 15-18.
