WEBWIRE

Grand Prix Chrysler Jeep in Long Island made the news official, they will now offer lease deals on Chrysler models. Earlier in September the Chrysler Group made the announcement that they will resume leasing cars after a temporary freeze was put in place during the country’s worst credit crunch.

Long Island residents can take advantage of major lease deals on all 2010 models including the most popular Jeep Grand Cherokee, Jeep Liberty and Chrysler’s best selling Town and Country minivan. According to Grand Prix Chrysler Jeep, consumers could save up to $8,500 off the MSRP of some Chrysler models. Joel Sporn, spokesperson for the Long Island car dealer said, “Chrysler lease deals are back in a big way. This is a testament to how far we have come this past year, to offer lease deals like this can only restore consumer confidence; things are starting to turn around.”

Chrysler’s move to resume leasing, through GMAC Financial Services, comes a few weeks after General Motors Co. resumed its leasing programs through GMAC and U.S. Bank. Chrysler lease deals will offer the usual terms for consumers, typically lasting about 3 years. Once the lease is finalized, consumers can return the car to Grand Prix Chrysler Jeep or buy out the car and keep for themselves.
