Dr. Phillip Beutel, Noted Intellectual Property and Antitrust Economist, Named Chair of NERA Economic Consulting’s Global IP Practice
NEW YORK, Mar. 2/NERA Economic Consulting, an international firm of over 550 professionals operating in 20 offices worldwide, is pleased to announce Senior Vice President Dr. Phillip Beutel’s appointment as Chair of its Global Intellectual Property Practice.
Dr. Beutel, who divides his time between the firm’s White Plains, NY and Chicago offices, joined NERA in 1990 as a Senior Analyst. An expert in intellectual property economics, antitrust analysis, and commercial damages, his diverse client base represents a wide range of industries domestically and abroad.
Dr. Beutel replaces longtime Intellectual Property Practice Chair and Senior Vice President Dr. Marion Stewart, who will continue full-time consulting at the firm. Dr. Stewart was appointed Practice Chair in March 1996 and has been a driving force behind the growth of the practice during his tenure.
