GSA APAC CHAPTER ANNOUNCES MR ANDERS KAGER AS NEW CHAIRMAN

Singapore, January 13, 2005: The Global mobile Suppliers Association today announced Mr Anders Kager, Director Regional Marketing, Asia Pacific, Nokia Networks as the new chairman of the GSA Asia Pacific Chapter, effective January 2005. Mr. Kager takes over the responsibility from Alfred Ling, Vice President of Ericsson SE Asia, who has successfully completed his term of office.

The GSA APAC Chapter supports the development in the Asia Pacific region of high quality voice and enhanced mobile data services enabled by the GSM open platform, embracing GPRS, EDGE, WCDMA standards. The aim is to bring information and clarity on key industry issues to assist operators, investors, governments, Administrations and all other industry stakeholders at a time when the evolution to 3G services is in full swing with WCDMA and EDGE, and accelerating globally. APAC Chapter activities include information seminars, briefings, and sponsorship at key industry events.
