Parsons recognized as one of the "Most Admired Employers" for Diversity
PASADENA, CA. – Parsons is pleased to announce that it will be named one of the “Most Admired Employers” in the fall 2009 Diversity Careers issues of Hispanic Engineer & Information Technology (HE&IT), US Black Engineer & Information Technology (USBE&IT), and Women of Color (WOC), published by Career Communications Group, Inc. (CCG).
Parsons was chosen for this distinction based on a CCG reader survey. This honor is consistent with Parsons’ core value of diversity, which is also demonstrated by the 2008 Mentor-Protégé Award from the National Association of Minority Contractors (Atlanta chapter) and a 2008-2009 top 10 ranking for a positive working environment by the readers of Minority Engineer magazine.
“We are honored to be recognized by the readers of Hispanic Engineer, US Black Engineer, and Women of Color,” stated Chuck Harrington, Parsons’ Chairman and CEO. “At Parsons, we are committed to diversity in our workforce composition. Diversity is one of our six core values along with safety, quality, integrity, innovation, and sustainability.”
In addition to being featured in HE&IT, USBE&IT, and WOC, Parsons will also receive an award during the “Most Admired Employers” corporate recognition dinner held at Temple University in Philadelphia on November 12, 2009.
Currently, more than 12,000 Parsons employees are engaged in more than 4,500 projects in 50 states and 25 countries. Collectively, these dedicated workers speak 115 languages and hold more than 5,700 college degrees and professional registrations. Parsons’ employees continue to go anywhere in the world, meet every technical and management challenge, and persevere until the job is done.
“Our accomplishments are a direct result of the talented team of professionals who embody Parsons,” Harrington added.
