Harris Corporation Promotes Pamela Padgett to Vice President Investor Relations and Corporate Communications

MELBOURNE, Florida, March 1, 2006 — Harris Corporation (NYSE: HRS) today announced that Pamela Padgett, vice president–Investor Relations, has been promoted to the position of vice president–Investor Relations and Corporate Communications. While continuing to lead investor relations, her role in the company has been expanded to include strategic oversight of companywide media relations and marketing communications activities.

Padgett joined Harris in 1996. She was formerly vice president–Mergers and Acquisitions at MC Financial Services Ltd., a wholly owned investment and merchant banking subsidiary of Mitsubishi Corporation. Prior to joining MC Financial Services Ltd. in 1990, she held various finance and public accounting positions with Home Group Capital Markets and Coopers & Lybrand. A Certified Public Accountant, she has a bachelor’s degree in science from the University of Florida and an M.B.A. from the University of Florida.
