Houston Interactive Marketing Firm: Southeast Media Appoints Michelle Wicmandy as Marketing Director

HOUSTON, TX, August 23, 2009 – Houston Interactive Marketing Firm, Southeast Media, Inc., has hired Michelle Wicmandy as marketing director.

Wicmandy joins Southeast Media from Houston’s Alley Theatre where she was the online marketing manager. Prior to the Alley Theatre, Wicmandy was a business consultant for the Small Business Development Center where she helped small business owners develop marketing plans through a program held at LoneStar Community College.

“Michelle’s experience makes her an excellent fit in this position and in our company culture,” comments Gregg Parnell, CEO. “Her background in business communications, traditional marketing and interactive marketing will serve us well.”

Wicmandy is also a freelance writer. She writes for Website Magazine, a publication focused on websites and interactive marketing. Recent articles include Surpassing Survival, on viral marketing, and Getting Scene in a World of Clips, about video and search engine optimization. Her writing has also appeared in the Houston Business Journal and InteleCard News.

Since 1998, Wicmandy has served as an adjunct marketing lecturer at the University of Houston – Downtown.
