MultiCare Health System to Deploy the MD Coder® Enterprise Server System from Mobile Design Technologies, Inc. to Provide Physicians with Wireless Charge Capture solution.

Houston, Texas – January 13, 2005 - Mobile Design Technologies, Inc., a healthcare focused software company that provides physicians with mobile technology solutions to capture charge charges at the point of care, today announced that MultiCare Health System in Tacoma, Washington will deploy the MD Coder® Enterprise Server System providing their physicians an enterprise charge capture solutions furthering their mobile strategy to address their charge capture needs.

With MD Coder, physicians practicing at one of the many facilities compromised of MultiCare Health System can user their PalmOne or Pocket PC handhelds to capture charges at the point of care and synchronize those charges via a wireless or wireline connection to the MD Coder Enterprise Server. Users of the system can use a Wi-Fi enabled device with internet connectivity to securely synchronize patient data and charges remotely from the point of care independent of facility.

MultiCare Health System currently is in the process of a major overhaul of its existing Hospital Information System, thoroughly evaluated the mobile marketplace. MultiCare Health System participated in several technology demonstrations of vendors. They compared critical aspects of the various vendors including product adoption in the marketplace, product maturity, future product roadmaps, references, interviews with existing vendor customers and physician attended demonstrations in choosing the right product for their charge capture needs.
