D-Link Now Shipping Residential Gateway Based on Affordable CopperGate HomePNA Technology

FOUNTAIN VALLEY, CA.- D-Link, the end-to-end networking solutions provider for consumer and business, today announced that its next-generation Internet Protocol Television (IPTV) residential gateway is now shipping with CopperGate™ HomePNA™ technology.

The D-Link® DVA-G3810BN Triple-Play Home Gateway is an affordable and versatile home networking device designed to support a variety of data distribution standards. It includes a built-in ADSL2/2+ modem and router with firewall, enabling connected devices to share access to a high-speed broadband Internet connection.

Users can connect four 10/100 Ethernet ports, an HPNA v3.1 coaxial port, an FXS port to attach an analog phone, and a USB port to attach a network storage device.

Digital home network users can enjoy voice over IP (VoIP) services, online and network gaming, or watch IPTV all through a single device, and can spend more time listening to music and watching videos rather than spending time waiting for the files to finish downloading.

Based on the HomePNA 3.1 specification, the CopperGate HomePNA CG3110 chipset enables D-Link customers to achieve data rates capable of more than 100 megabits per second* of continuous throughput on their home networks using existing coax wiring inside the home and without having to incur the expense of installing new CAT-5 wiring.
