TestAmerica to Lead Discussion on Analytical Method Detection Limits

Mr. Benjamin Gulizia, Lab Director at TestAmerica’s Savannah, Georgia laboratory has been invited to present at the Georgia Association of Water Professionals, 2009 Annual Conference and Exposition of the week of August 9-12th. Mr. Gulizia will be addressing the topic of Method Detection Limits (MDLs) as they relate to environmental chemistry applications.

The discussion surrounding this long debated topic will touch upon the derivation and limitations of as well as the accuracy of currently accepted method detection limit studies. Mr. Gulizia will also delve into ways to achieve lower levels of detection when dealing with common environmental matrices. Rounding out the presentation will be a discussion on future potential changes to the science behind the development of functional MDL studies.
