NFL Hall of Fame Game 2009 Review

WEBWIRE

Betdigest.com - It smells like football again! The Tennessee Titans and the Buffalo Bills will face off as the preseason opener this Sunday.

Fawcett Stadium will be the location for the opening NFL game and it’s right across from the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio. The game debuted in 1962 and has been NFC versus AFC every single year since 1971 but that will all change with this year’s edition of the preseason opener.

The Titans will be playing at home after an impressive 13-3 season with high hopes and a very solid team. On the other hand, the Bills will try to use this practice game to better their somewhat disappointing 7-9 record from last season.

As for the Titan team roster, all bets are on their new acquisition, wide receiver Kenny Britt, a young and athletic player from Rutgers recently drafted to catch passes and score touchdowns. The 6-foot-2, 215 pound wide receiver has long arms and can cut and break surprisingly well for a man his size. Let us hope he can make it off the “Physically Unable to Perform” (right hamstring injury) by Sunday so we can see what he can do.

The Titans’ only worry right now is to fill the void Chris Carr left as their key returner. Carr departed to Detroit as a free agent. The Bills will try to be a relevant team this year, but are off to a tough start.

Marshawn Lynch’s suspension from a misdemeanor gun charge in Los Angeles in February means the Bills will be playing with reserve running backs for their initial three season games. This doesn’t mean Lynch can’t play pre-season games, so we might see him this Sunday.

The Buffalo Bills, the only football team that plays on New York state soil, will also have a home game in Canada this season. So fans, start your wagers, and get ready for another delightful football season because the shiny helmets are back!

Top free bet center Betdigest.com will offer free bets and top betting promos for this game.

Las vegas betting odds on this game, as seen on online sportsbook bettango.com shows the Titans as a 2.5 point favorite, and bookies are predicting a low scoring game.

Bufallo +2 ½ (-110)
Tenesse -2 ½ (-110)
