OSHKOSH, Wis.- Visitors to the Experimental Aircraft Association’s annual week-long conference - AirVenture 2009 - will find Cessna Aircraft Company, a Textron Inc. (NYSE: TXT) company, in a new location near the main gate with an exhibit and static display area 33 percent larger than last year.

“In the midst of what has been a very difficult year for our industry and our company, Oshkosh offers a great way to connect with our customers and to share the passion of aviation at one of the world’s best venues. And, we are able to take time to focus on several positive accomplishments for our company,” Cessna Chairman, President and CEO Jack Pelton said. “We have orders to announce, anniversaries to celebrate, an innovative flight training program to share and program updates – punctuated by the news that our SkyCatcher has achieved compliance with light sport aircraft regulations, paving the way for deliveries to begin.”

Cessna’s static display highlights the company’s broad product range of single-engine piston models, turboprops and Citation business jets. On exhibit are the SkyCatcher, Skyhawk SP, Turbo Skylane, Turbo Stationair, Corvalis, Corvalis TT (twin turbo), Grand Caravan, Caravan Amphibian, Citation Mustang and Citation CJ2+. To commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Model 150 (produced from 1959-78), Cessna plans to feature several Model 150s in the exhibit space during the week-long event. The company also will use its mobile marketing vehicle to offer an interactive experience for visitors wanting to learn about Cessna products.
