Seattle Mold Testing Lab Receives AIHA EMLAP Accreditation

EMSL Analytical, Inc. is pleased to announce that its Seattle, Washington laboratory has added a new accreditation through the American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA) Environmental Microbiology Laboratory Accreditation Program (EMLAP). EMSL Seattle is now accredited for mold testing including direct examination of air, bulk and surface samples.

EMSL Seattle (Laboratory ID: 167337) is in compliance with International Standard ISO/IEC 17025:2005 policies and procedures along with offering high-quality testing services to its clients. The laboratory can test mold spores, hyphal fragments, pollen, insect fragments, skin fragments along with fibrous particulates from spore trap and surface samples.

In addition, the laboratory is accredited by the National Voluntary Laboratory Accreditation Program (NVLAP) for asbestos analysis. EMSL Seattle is certified by the California State Environmental Laboratory Accreditation Program (CA ELAP) for metals and bulk asbestos. The laboratory is also accredited by the State of Washington Department of Ecology for asbestos analysis by polarized light microscopy (PLM).
