establishing the mind body connection is vital to wellness, I really believe in kindness, generosity of spirit and a genuine love for others is my focal drive

Ball of energy Sarah Mackay has an infectious enthusiasm a love for creating which evolved into an online business with products that are close to her heart. From a young age, Sarah has been passionate about helping others and sourcing and sharing good things. This evolved into entrepreneurial pursuits.

The first product to emerge was a candle range based on Aromatherapy called Curb the Cravings which comes with a free e-book educating people on how to eat healthy and curb unhealthy food cravings. Following suit was T-Shirt Range Just Breathe- a high quality range for the Yoga enthusiast and a candle range for men; Fenwick Ferguson.

Sarah says it was her ability to think outside the square and an enthusiasm for breaking comfort zones that made her question where she was in life. ’I thought, it’s time to step into this space of new creativity, it is time to just breathe, step out, shine brightly but most of all, it’s time to thrive, and thus the ideas started to flow’ says Sarah. What was I passionate about? What didn’t the consumer market have? How could I fill that niche in a way that was sustainable, exciting and fresh? The first one was a candle that actually assisted therapeutically, the second was a Yoga range of comfortable t-shirts encapsulating the Just Breathe philosophy; enveloping colour therapy dynamics and sustainability.

Sarah uses her love of human connection and background in exhibition curation and fashion industry sales as the foundation for her business model, however it is the love of wellbeing and health that drives the Australian Designer on. From volunteering with Greenpeace Headquarters in Amsterdam to a bachelor degree in Psychology as well as fine arts, working with troubled youth and vulnerable children, this powerhouse is an inspiring example of motivation in action. The success has been hard won and learned. When asked what advice Sarah would give people thinking about launching an online business, she says “You need a little bit of bravery, but you really need to do your research, source your product wisely and with integrity.”
