IBM’s Cognitive Computing Defines Cognitive Intelligence

In today’s world of rapidly evolving digital technology, the role of IT is changing from a focus on back office processing to back office optimisation and front office software.  Traditionally, IT existed solely in the form of back office software, but now it is being called upon to fill a different role. On the other side, the CIO must also consider front office innovation. The question then becomes, “How can I utilise data for competitive advantage?” In addition, it is crucial to consider security and agility.
