A talented art student who graduated from the Art Institute of Philadelphia with a degree in fashion marketing, she was poised to begin a new job when she was murdered horrifically by another tenant trying to rob her. Struggling with the loss of his daughter, Dr. Araujo wrote poetry as a reminder of the power of love, compassion, and forgiveness—an important lesson to all, especially those who have gone through the terrible traumatic experience of losing a child.

About the Author

Lorenzo Araujo is a doctor; he obtained his medical degree from the Universidad Autonoma de Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic in 1977 and has had a long and illustrious career in the field of medicine. He is a published author and accomplished poet in both English and Spanish.
