EMSL Provides Custom Analytical Laboratory Services for Water Treatment and Membrane Filtration Industry Professionals

EMSL Analytical, Inc. is pleased to announce that it now offers comprehensive analysis packages and customized support services to clients in the microfiltration, reverse osmosis, desalinization and water treatment communities. The laboratory specializes in materials, chemistry and microbiological analysis.

“We have the expertise and experience to handle any size or type of project,” said Jeff Jacques, Business Development Manager of the New England Region at EMSL Analytical, Inc. “Examples of our service capabilities range from detailed membrane autopsies, to particle and bulk chemistry analysis, and even bacterial identification and enumeration, all to assist our clients and future clients in concisely troubleshooting complex water treatment systems.”

To assist with materials analysis, our laboratory’s enhanced materials science and characterization facilities allow them to provide critical information about membrane samples. This includes autopsies utilizing Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) with Energy-dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy (EDS) analysis with Chromatic Spectral Foulant Mapping and Micro Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR), as well as, manufacturing inspection, mechanical and physical properties measurement for technical support and research and development professionals.

In addition, the laboratories have a wide ranging series of chemistry analysis tools designed to serve a number of industries including whole water chemistry, treatment chemicals, effluent analysis, trace contaminants, additives, raw materials and whole membrane filter analysis. Our laboratories also offer wide ranging microbiological analysis services, including bacteriological, fungal, viral and protozoan analysis services. These services are done from culture and DNA-polymerase chain reaction (PCR) speciation, through by-product compound analysis and anti-microbial materials studies.
